Denise's Quilt

Denise, one of our quild members, is planning to leave early Wednesday morning to her new home in Nova Scotia . Safe journey, Denise.

So what does a quilt guild give as a going away gift? A quilt, of course.

Everyone in our guild made a block using only blue and white fabric. I sewed the blocks together for the top, Debbie, prepared the binding and Heather's husband Alvin quilted it and Heather attached the binding and the signature block on the back.

On Monday evening, we surprised Denise (she is on the right in the photo), with her quilt, from the smile on her face I think she likes, don't you.

I used an embroiderd hanky for the signature block, and added the wording on the edge with my sewing machine.
